BASIC HANDGUN
Description
Course Objectives:
Students will learn how to:
- Understand the universal rules of firearm safety
- Identify the basic parts and function of a handgun
- Understand how ammunition works
- Demonstrate safe loading and unloading procedures
- Build proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control
- Develop safe gun-handling habits
- Gain confidence with basic handgun operation

- Firearm safety rules
- Types of handguns and their basic parts
- Ammunition basics
- Safe loading and unloading
- Proper grip and stance
- Sight alignment and sight picture
- Trigger control and follow-through
- Basic range safety and etiquette
- Safe storage and responsible ownership
Training Methods:
- Classroom instruction
- Demonstration
- Dry-practice exercises
- Optional live-fire component if included
Required Equipment:
- Note-taking materials
- Eye and ear protection if range time is included
- Handgun and ammunition if required for live fire
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Completion Requirements:
Students must attend the full class and participate in classroom instruction and any practical exercises.

Requires:
- Hangun: preferably 380acp or higher
- 200 rnds of Ammo
- Holster
- Eyes and Ears for safety
