This is NOT a beginner’s class. This course is for students with basic pistol skills who want to build on their foundation. If you're new to shooting, we highly recommend our Intro to Pistol class first.

Our 8-hour Ohio Concealed Carry Course is led by certified instructors, and provides essential knowledge for responsible firearm ownership, self-defense, and legal concealed carry.

Private firearms instruction puts you in control of your training. Whether you’re fairly new, building confidence, or trying to fix a specific issue, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Our instructors act as your guide, helping identify the problems you know you have—and the ones you may not realize are holding you back—so you can train with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

The Sentinel Academy features 3 Classes. After completing Situational Awareness, Home Defense & Personal Protection Plan, and Basic Handgun our students complete the majority of the Ohio CHL requirement and are ready for the next step in their progression.

This course introduces students to the principles of situational awareness and personal safety. Students will learn how to identify potential threats, recognize unusual behavior, improve observation skills, and make sound decisions to avoid danger whenever possible.

Course Description: This course teaches students the fundamentals of protecting themselves and their loved ones at home. Students will learn how to strengthen home security, create an emergency plan, identify likely vulnerabilities, and respond effectively to threats using awareness, preparation, and sound decision-making.

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of safe and responsible handgun ownership and use. Students will learn the basic parts and operation of a handgun, essential safety rules, ammunition basics, proper grip and stance, and the core marksmanship principles needed to build a strong foundation.

This class covers the essential rules of firearm safety, safe loading and unloading procedures, proper handgun storage, basic operation, and range etiquette. Whether you're new to firearms or looking for a refresher, this course provides a comfortable, no-pressure environment to help you build a strong foundation for safe and responsible handgun ownership.

AR-15 Fundamentals is a beginner-friendly class designed to teach the safe handling, operation, and basic marksmanship skills of the AR-15 platform. Students will learn firearm safety, loading and unloading procedures, sight alignment, shooting fundamentals, maintenance basics, and range etiquette through classroom instruction and live-fire practice. Perfect for new AR owners or anyone looking to build confidence and proficiency with America’s most popular rifle platform.

When seconds matter, airway comes first. This hands-on airway management course teaches students how to recognize airway emergencies, assess breathing, open and maintain an airway, clear obstructions, and understand when to use a basic airway adjunct

Control the Bleed teaches students how to recognize and manage life-threatening bleeding using fast, effective interventions. This lesson covers hemorrhage control priorities, tourniquet selection and placement, direct pressure, wound packing, hemostatic agents, and proper bandaging techniques. Students also practice these skills through live demonstrations, drills, and scenario-based exercises so they can respond confidently in home-defense or public-defense emergencies.
